Kathleen Lewis has spent over forty-five years creating art with fabrics, fibers and other art mediums in Asheville, NC. Her current art form of choice is 'surface design' i.e. hand dyeing, shibori, rust dyeing, color discharge and hand printing on any type of fabric and then turning the art fabric into some functional, useful accessory like handbags, hats, scarves, clothing, pillows, home decor or theraputic items.
Kathleen Lewis Designs has evolved and now has works on display in several galleries in Western North Carolina. As the demand for her products grow she hopes to show her work in even more, and expanded locations.
