In my work abstractions emerge by the depiction of more than a single moment or viewpoint and compositions are intended to suggest the presence of the larger framework by visually extending beyond the canvas edge. My style has been deeply influenced by work with graphic design tools. The color relationships of pixels creating images inspires my compositions and the influence of a mostly intuitive graphic design workflow has resulted in reinvention my painting process to embrace a non traditional additive and subtractive method which allows similar control in fine tuning colors but with the organic qualities and surface textures unique to paint.
